What's involved?

We will guide you and your family through the entire process. Our team is always available to take your call when somebody passes away.

We will travel to the place of death anywhere in New England and transfer the deceased into our care. At your request, a shampoo, washing, dressing and placement in a fully biodegradable casket (made from sustainable materials) will be performed. The primary care physician will be contacted and we will travel to their office to obtain the death certificate. All legal paperwork will be completed and filed in the town or city of death.

We will coordinate the burial process with the Cedar Brook Burial Ground in Limington, Maine (or the natural burial ground of your choice), including transportation of the deceased and supervision of the burial. GPS coordinates of the burial spot will be provided to your family. Depending on your wishes, you may be present for the burial. We also help in creating a personal and meaningful "Celebration of Life" service ** before, during and/or after the burial.

The Cedar Brook Burial Ground in Limington, Maine is the first green cemetery in New England. Comprising of a two-acre wood of mostly pine and hemlock, they are located a short distance west of Portland, Maine. There is also a green cemetery located in New Jersey.

We strongly recommend making your arrangements with us before the time of need. This will help in conveying wishes to your family. You also have the option to pay in advance to relieve your family from the financial burden. We are happy to meet you in your home, a local coffee shop, or your favorite hangout to answer questions, discuss costs or begin the planning process.

**A "Celebration of Life" service is an event that truly celebrates the life of a person who lived. We help you create this one of a kind experience by listening to your story, recommending ideas specifically meaningful for this person's life, and finally, coordinating the entire process. Imagine attending a service for a lover of vegetable gardening where the guests received packets of seeds culled from their personal garden or participating in a service for a movie lover with a screening of a video celebration of their life takes place in their favorite movie theater followed by a popcorn reception. Simple and dignified services can also be designed for those who wish. The service reflects the tastes, desires and passions of the person who lived.
